The backdrop

A New England lumber and hardware institution.

Founded in 1939, Koopman Lumber & Hardware operates 8 locations across Massachusetts, including full-line lumber, hardware, paint, and lawn & garden stores, a design center, a paint store, and lumber yards.

They also run a lumber distribution center serving the building trade — with a catalog of over 80,000 products.

Decades of heritage, a modern e-commerce need.

Live inventory, plus the features Shopify lacks.

Live inventory, plus the features Shopify lacks.

The requirement

A consistent experience, powered by live inventory.

To provide a consistent shopping experience and improve e-commerce retention, Koopman first looked to link their existing ERP with their e-commerce platform.

They needed real-time automation for stock and inventory, plus new storefront features to enhance the buyer experience.

Connect ERP to Shopify

ERP-to-Shopify automation and custom features.

We studied Koopman's ERP, mapped all products by category and warehouse location using a RESTful API, and automated inventory changes between the ERP and Shopify — updating variants, quantities, prices, and product ranges.

After integration, the client no longer needed to monitor or manually adjust product stock on the store.
