What is an on-demand developer?
An engineer who works remotely or on-site on a temporary basis to fulfill your software development needs. They can be hired for specific projects, short-term tasks, or ongoing development support. No long-term commitment of a full-time hire.
What is staff augmentation?
A service that lets you extend your existing team by adding external talent. OST supplies skilled developers who work alongside your in-house team to enhance productivity, bridge skill gaps, and meet deadlines. Your team manages the work. We supply the people.
What kind of developers can I hire?
Full-stack, front-end, back-end, mobile, DevOps, AI / ML specialists, cloud architects, database administrators, QA engineers, Salesforce developers. See the role grid above for the bench breakdown.
How fast can I get started?
Tell us the gap on a 30-minute call. Within 48 hours we send 2 or 3 pre-vetted profiles. Most engagements have an engineer producing work within 3 to 7 days of you signing the SOW.
What engagement models do you offer?
Hourly (no minimum, end anytime), part-time (20 to 30 hours per week on retainer), full-time (40 hours per week, embedded). Pick what fits the work. Switch later if it changes.
Can I scale up or down later?
Yes. Add engineers, swap a profile, end a contract. Flex up and down as your roadmap shifts. We expect this. No restocking fees, no notice penalties beyond what you signed.
Are your developers full-time OST employees?
Mostly yes. Our bench is staffed with full-time OST engineers across our USA and India teams. We supplement with vetted long-term contractors when a niche skill is rare. Either way, the engineer is on contract with us, and we are on contract with you.
Do I need a long-term contract?
No. We offer hourly, part-time, and full-time engagements with no long lock-in. End an engagement anytime with the notice period in your SOW (typically 2 weeks for hourly, 30 days for retainer).
What industries do you serve?
Education, nonprofit, healthcare, real estate, e-commerce, manufacturing as core. Plus financial services, hospitality, media, fitness, and others. See our industries page for full coverage.
Who owns the code?
You do, after the final invoice on each deliverable is paid. Code lives in your repository from day one. End of story.
