The backdrop
A premier Bucks County funeral home since 1976.
Founded in 1976, the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home is a premier funeral home in Bucks County, PA, with decades of experience caring for families and offering personalized services.
Fluehr displays recent obituaries with a name, photo or video, and a few kind words, and loved ones can buy and send flowers through a web-store on the site itself.
A website that families rely on in difficult moments.
An accessibility menu for every visitor.
The requirement
An intuitive, glitch-free experience.
OST was tasked with revamping the website to improve functionality, reduce glitches, and implement a more streamlined design. During Covid-19, in-person meetings became less feasible and the website became central to client engagement.
Fluehr needed an intuitive, easy-to-navigate interface with no glitches slowing down the user journey.
The solution
User-level research, then dynamic functionality.
Based on one-on-one client interaction, we approached the needs at the user level — analyzing clickthrough rates and visitor-to-sales patterns to find where glitches slowed the journey, then revamped layout, design, and functionality on the existing base.
Where the original sections were static, we added dynamic flexibility across obituaries, charities, vendors, and more.

E-commerce for flowers & gifts
A featured deliverable
We built e-commerce to send flowers and gifts for a specific funeral, family, occasion, or holiday — plus separate user/family logins, vendor management, obituary management with notifications, charitable-trust management, and moderated condolence messages.
